Every star has an influence. So you should know that before him there was a Jimi Hendrix, there was Hubert Sumlin. Hubert Sumlin backed Howlin’ Wolf during his entire career until Wolf’s death. He’s been dubbed a heavy influence for almost ANY man who held a guitar after him, from Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton, to the Rolling Stones and Stevie Ray Vaughn. Many many more, have followed. He’s still very much alive today and he still tours.
